Oh hai! I was procrastinating to blog about my admission to the hospital last week. Firstly, would love to thank those who called me, and asked about my condition when i was admitted, especially ‘ anak geow ‘! He called and sms-ed. Such a nice guy, and there’s Jacqueline too, who accompanied me for 4 days through sms-ing. She’s awesome. Well, during my ‘ stay ‘ in the hospital, kinda made me found out who was really caring and who’s not! I dont blame you if u didnt know, well, no biggie laa, as I ALMOST DIE!
Anyway, was admitted because of my oh-so-poor-control-of-diet-due-to-diabetes. Actually, to be honest, I wasnt even controlling at all! But that was before I got in, now, am trying hard. It was because of DKA ( Diabetic Ketoacidosis ) , that got me admitted. It was my usual monthly check up at the hospital on the Monday morning, when i felt super lethargic, nausea, stomach unwell, dizzy, and kinda rather sit or lie down than stand. Then when the nurse was taking some blood samples from my arm, my hands shake and shivered. So the nurses knew i was diabetic, they took a reading of my blood sugar and it was HIGH.
Well, ‘ HIGH ‘ mean the machine is unable to read your sugar level in your blood. When u have too much sugar and no insulin to dissolve it in your blood, fats stored in your body would turn into ketones, which is acidic and deadly if overload. So yeah, ketones were found in my blood too! Then was diagnosed as DKA.
Immedietaly, I was given a bed to lie down, was energyless. Then the one of the nurse with the helper pushed the bed from the ward to another ward. I was asleep by then.
note #1 : DKA [ if not admitted or ignored]
Asleep > Coma > Die
So practically it was my lucky day? By then i reached the ward, was greeted by a Doctor [duh?] and she alerted few of the nurses to start on the IV drips and “ set lines “. It means injections laa, long painful needles
Oh, didnt i mention both hands were being injected? I look like some cyber human project!
note #2 : The doctor told my mum, if i was an hour or so late. I would have been dead! Because I was already starting to sleep then coma O_o
my left hand
my right robotic hand
I think after four days, I’ve taken in total of 20 bottles of IV drips or maybe more. Seriously, per bottle finishes like and hour or so. So it made me pee kinda a lot of times, lol. Another thing was, I never had a peaceful sleep there! Was on a observation period, so nurses had to keep my bed close to their desk, and ITS SO ANNOYING! I cant seem to sleep long because every 3-4 minutes u can hear, kids crying because injection or running around, nurses chatting with other employees, BRIGHT LIGHTS! and the worse! Every hour, even when Im asleep, the nurse wakes me up to check my blood pressure, temperature, and sugar level. Totally 100% disturbance! AND THERE ARE NO HOT SEXY NURSES AROUND! like wtf!
#sorry girlfriend!!!
NOT!
fat ugly annoying but helpful nurses
Another thing was, I was allowed to choose my meals for the following day. Will be given a menu to see what I’d like to eat the following day, let me show u what i ate
On the menu it says,
” Cream Seafood Fettucini with salad “
and turns out to be
” Less Cream Seafood Dried Fettucinni with salad “
&
On the menu it says,
” Toast + Fish Fingers Western Cuisine “
and turns out to be
” Just Bread + Pasar Malam Fish Cake + Soggy Fries + Banana “

&
On the menu it says,
” Nasi Tomato dan Ayam Masak Merah “
and turns out to be
” Nasi bukan Tomato dan Ayam Masak Tomato “
&
On the menu it says,
” Sliced Chicken Fusili Bolognaise “
and turns out to be
” Fried Tasteless Chicken Overcooked Fusili and TOTALLY NOT BOLOGNAISE SALTY Tomato Puree “
SO yeah, that was 1/4 of what i ate during my stay there. Then it was thursday, which i was allowed to be discharged! finally after that, went home. The bill for staying four day is more expensive than staying in a hotel. RM500++ in total. Sorry mum, will try to keep my diet balance from now onwards, and also to not let loved ones worried and troubled them
Oh, was really happy when they removed the injections after 4 days in my arms
red circles : scar from needles
so that was kinda the story of the four day admission near death experience!
AND in a completely unrelated story, in this month, since i’ve started working in KimGary. Many people such as colleagues, 7-11 cashiers, customers, and unknowns who communicated with me. ADDRESSED me as a FEMALE! or they would ask,
” FEMALE OR MALE? “
Seriously are you that fucking stupid to not notice I HAVE NO BOOBS AND DO I LOOK LIKE ONE?! I get upset, honestly, everytime a person says so. And to my curiosity, I asked few of them back.
” WHY SAY SO? “
Most of them told me it was my skin, FACE to be precised! Then others were because my mouth is small and hair long etc etc shit. So then I kinda notice, I do really have smooth non-oily pimpled or defected face. Its as smooth as baby’s bottom wtf! So to show u guys, I took pictures -.-
note #3 : pictures are not edited, taken by SE K618i
O_oIt glows!
and to my surprise, my forehead glows even better, wtf
I HATE WIDE FOREHEADS!
anyways
* eyes blinks and twinkles innocently *
STOP FUCKING ADDRESSING ME AS A FEMALE
YOU PEOPLE
WHO CANT DIFFERENTIATE GENDERS!
thank you
