Chef Wan, BALIK KAMPUNG TANAM UBI LAA!

Shall I re-introduce Malaysia’s food ambassador?

Redzuawan Ismail, or better know as Chef Wan.

I googled his wikipedia profile, and I thought,

If he is Malaysia’s food ambassador, surely has achieved many awards and would have a very long wikipedia profile.

To my amazement! This is only what I got!

Career

His early career was as an accountant. He says after seeing the popularity of many types of Asian food in Western countries he decided to promote Malaysia and other South East Asian countries using their food.

He has an associate degree in Professional Chef Training and Hotel Management from the California Culinary Academy and a Ritz Escoffeir Diploma from the Ritz Hotel. He is currently a brand ambassador for AirAsia.

In 2009, he won the Best Celebrity Television Chef of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

HAHAH! one bloody award, and it wad a  year ago!

You might be wondering why on earth am I blogging about him?

Something that pissed me off was one of his latest cooking program I saw on AFC.

I’m am already pissed with him being Malaysia’s food ambassador, also now its near Chinese New Year.

He’s showing us how to cook Chinese food!

WHATTHEFUCK?!?

Can’t they find other chefs or cooks from Malaysia to show?

Why must it only be Chef Wan?

Amy Beh is good in cooking too!

She’s really good in Chinese cooking, and I don’t see them asking her to host a cooking show for Hari Raya?

Every year, its always Chef Wan’s cooking program on tv.

Hate all his sissy movements.

The way he presents and teaches how to cook, he speaks in those short term Malay language.

Hello! Not everyone understands those language!

For example, ” Jom Yuk nak ajo buat roti nah yg sedaaaap

I don’t have anything against him actually, just only this few thing of not changing the food ambassador position for so many years and him teaching how to cook Chinese food.

And also one of the tv programs when Floyd, a British chef/cook visited Malaysia and was food guided by Chef Wan.

Chef Wan introduced paus [steamed buns] to him, and told him its created by MALAYS!

He doesn’t know the facts, everyone knows pau came from China.

Chef Wan,

I wonder why are you so popular?

Resign from the Malaysia food ambassador position and let someone else who QUALIFIES to take the position!

AND please, even if you can cook Chinese food.

You can’t us to cook pork dishes!

We Chinese love pork! So screw off and please cancel your shows!

Maybe just the Chinese one.

And BALIK KAMPUNG TANAM UBI!

I say,

GIVE AMY BEH A CHANCE TO BE MALAYSIA’S FOOD AMBASSADOR!

Eh, 1Malaysia right? Then prove it laa!
